If <i>cond</i> expands to <i>0</i>, this macro expands to nothing.&nbsp;
Otherwise, it expands to a right parenthesis.

The preprocessor interprets parentheses as delimiters in macro invocations.&nbsp;
Because of this, parentheses require special handling.
