97005c2017 Suppress external templates with Mingw32 - it seems to cause issues with dll's.

cb9409160a Moved static stables into the function bodies to fix a gcc on MacOS X and IMB compiler bug. 
Fixed config system for dll builds - the default linkage option is now static linking.
Fixed makefiles - dll builds now work.
Added Misc fixes for the example programs.

976fb02a1b Moved some key template instances into the lib and out of user code. 
Updated makefiles:
	renamed lib files with new more systematic naming convention.
