OSDs on LVM-mode PVCs are failing to come up and crashing
in the expand-bluefs init container. To avoid the crash
and allow the OSDs to start, a workaround was found to
simply remove that init container. Now we disable the
OSD resize for this case to avoid others hitting this
during upgrade as well.

When OSDs flap, ceph stops the OSD daemon if its marked down greater than
5 times in 600 seconds. But OSD pod restarts and marks the OSD `up` again.
This causes the PGs mapped to these OSDs to peer. While the PGs are peering,
IO to these PGs are blocked.
So we need to ensure that if ceph is marking OSD `down` due to flapping, OSD pod
should not restart to mark the OSDs `up` again.
This PR adds a sleep to the OSD pod if the container returned with a 0 exit code
Default behavior is to sleep for 6 hrs. But user can configure it from the
ceph cluster spec.

The cluster info is important context for the cluster controller to
create the cluster, and all the fields must be properly set.
A test cluster name was being set temporarily, resulting in
mons incorrectly getting the wrong cluster CR name. There is no
known issue from the temporary value, it was just exposed by
https://github.com/rook/rook/pull/8678 setting the value to a label.
Now the functions are more clearly named so only unit and
integration tests should be using the test value for the cluster
name where it is not important.

We don't need to use tini.
We don't have anything in the rook operator that would
either create zombie processes (no threads) or use
exec (to fork). The Go binary has a really good
signal handling mechanism.

earlier, we had the issue for osd placement regarding
whether we should merge the placements or not.
Now, we have option `skipApplyAllPlacement` to
enable/disable osd placement. By default it is false
which means it will merge both placement.All() and
storageClassDeviceSets.Placement, when true
it will only apply storageClassDeviceSets.Placement.
Also, adding unit test.

Recently, the builds of `ceph/ceph` image moved to quay.io, see
https://github.com/ceph/ceph-build/pull/1883 for more details.
Current images will remain but new builds will happen on quay.io only.
This means that tags such as `v14.2`, `v15.2`,`v16.2` will need to
switch to quay.io to get updates.

The rook.io/v1 package was only an internal implementation detail and
does not have any CRDs that rely on it. The CRD deserialization should
handle the change in internal types without any issue. This separation
gives more flexibility for the storage providers to implement exactly
what is needed for their storage provider instead of forcing to use the
same types and risk affecting another storage provider.

The VolumeSource type was only used internally when loading
the storageClassDeviceSets. The volumeSource element is never
expected to be specified in the CephCluster CR, so it is now
removed from the schema. The VolumeSource type is renamed to
deviceSet for clarity.

When running encrypted OSDs on multipath the expand container was
failing to find the underlying device of the encrypted block. This was
because the underlying block was located in /dev/mapper and this path
wasn't mounted in the init container "expand-encrypted-bluefs".
This will manifest like so:
```
Underlying device for crypt device ocs-deviceset-block-dev-from-san-1-data-0-5qkmm-block-dmcrypt disappeared.
The mgr daemon may be failed over by ceph if the active mgr is not
responding and the standby mgr is available. If the active mgr changes
the services for the dashboard and metrics will be updated with a
label selector for the new active mgr. The services cannot direct
traffic to the standby mgr or else they will be incorrectly redirected
to the active mgr.
* an encrypted osd
* an osd with a backing device
* multiple osd on the same block device
**only** if HostIPC is disabled.
The settings for tuneDeviceClass and tuneFastDeviceClass were
stored as a map[string]string. When iterating over the map to
append the args, the args were being appended in an unpredictable
order. The order could change every reconcile, resulting in an
unnecessary OSD restart potentially every reconcile. Now we iterate
over a slice that will be ordered predictably and ensure OSDs
will not be restarted when not needed.
When the Ceph cluster runs on PVC and the OSDs are encrypted we can
store LUKS's Key Encryption Key inside a Key Management System. Today,
Rook only supports HashiCorp Vault: https://www.vaultproject.io/
The CephCluster has now a new "security" field which will plug onto the
KMS. Here is an example:
security:
kms:
tokenSecretName: <name of the secret containing a Vault token, used
to authenticate>
connectionDetails: < a map of strings containing connection
information>
The CRUSH map does not allow duplicate values (nor keys) for the
labels. That means that if the currently hardcoded label value
`default` occurs anywhere else in the tree (for example, because
some of the topology labels provided by the cloud provider use it),
the cluster cannot sucessfully spawn.
By giving the user control over the label value used for the root
CRUSH map label, it is possible to adapt the cluster to this
situation.
To be able to actually use the `default` value, the root=default
node which is created by default by ceph itself has to be removed;
since that node is accompanied by a replicated crush rule, we have
to remove that rule, too.
The integration tests are modified to sometimes use the custom
crushRoot (based on an arbitrary criterium) to get coverage across
the various suites. Separate tests could be added, but were not
deemed necessary at this point.
We can now tune the value of TCMALLOC_MAX_TOTAL_THREAD_CACHE_BYTES by
setting an annotation on the CephCluster CRD like so:
```
annotation:
osd:
TCMALLOC_MAX_TOTAL_THREAD_CACHE_BYTES: "134217728"
```
file `/etc/sysconfig/ceph`.
Based on the feature of metadata PVC for OSD: #4818, add the wal device.
For this, you need to create a new volumeClaimTemplates, its name must be "wal", if "wal" is
set, "metadata" device will refers specially for block.db device, and "wal" refers for block.wal
device in BlueStore.
A template will look like this:
```
volumeClaimTemplates:
- metadata:
name: data
spec:
resources:
requests:
storage: 10Gi
# IMPORTANT: Change the storage class depending on your environment (e.g. local-storage, gp2)
storageClassName: gp2
volumeMode: Block
accessModes:
- ReadWriteOnce
- metadata:
name: metadata
spec:
resources:
requests:
storage: 6Gi
# IMPORTANT: Change the storage class depending on your environment (e.g. local-storage, io1)
storageClassName: io1
volumeMode: Block
accessModes:
- ReadWriteOnce
- metadata:
name: wal
spec:
resources:
requests:
storage: 6Gi
# IMPORTANT: Change the storage class depending on your environment (e.g. local-storage, io1)
storageClassName: io1
volumeMode: Block
accessModes:
- ReadWriteOnce
```
running ceph-volume activate.
To provide more context for executing commands in a ceph cluster,
the full clusterInfo is now passed to the ceph execution commands.
All information about the cluster will now be available throughout
all the areas of the operator. The namespace, ceph credentials,
mon endpoints, and other info is a core part of that cluster info.
Arguments passed through the controllers are also simplified for
mons, mgr, osds, and other daemons where the parameters had
become too complex.
This commit allows us to configure status check for each daemon:
* "mon": health check on the ceph monitors (quorum)
* "osd": health check on the ceph osds
* "status": ceph health status check
Each check is controlled by the following settings:
* disabled: whether to disable the check (default: false)
* internal: interval to run the check
* timeout: only valid for mons, is the timeout for unresponsive mon
before failling over.
Example to disable the status health check:
```yaml
healthCheck:
daemonHealth:
status:
disabled: true
```
As part of that, pod's livenessprobe can now be configured via the
following settings:
* disabled: whether to enable or not
* probe: override the current probe in place by a new one
```yaml
healthCheck:
livenessProbe:
mon:
disabled: true
```
