Recently, the builds of `ceph/ceph` image moved to quay.io, see
https://github.com/ceph/ceph-build/pull/1883 for more details.
Current images will remain but new builds will happen on quay.io only.
This means that tags such as `v14.2`, `v15.2`,`v16.2` will need to
switch to quay.io to get updates.

After the peer is imported via a token, ceph internally stores the
information of the remote cluster. So the rbd-mirror daemon does not
need to have files (key and config) for the remote site.
This means lighter code for us, as well no more restarts for the
rbd-mirror daemon once a peer is added to the configuration.

When a private docker registry is used and an image pull secret is specified in the chart, the pods with default Service Account fail to pull the image due to authentication issues.
Added rook-ceph-default service account and modify the pods specifications by adding the serviceAccountName.

Finally! We can now stop editing manually our crds definition. Simply
run `make crds-gen`. These two files:
* `cluster/examples/kubernetes/ceph/crds.yaml`
* `cluster/charts/rook-ceph/templates/resources.yaml`
will be autogenerated for us.
We rely on the controller-gen tool, it reads our API definitions from
`pkg/apis/` and produces the CRD files accordingly.
It uses "markers" to add extra yaml fields to the CRD, for instance we
have a lot fields with:
```
nullable: true
x-kubernetes-preserve-unknown-fields: true
```
The corresponding API type markers are:
```
// +kubebuilder:pruning:PreserveUnknownFields
// +nullable
```
For more API convention see
https://github.com/kubernetes/community/blob/master/contributors/devel/sig-architecture/api-conventions.md#optional-vs-required
and for the markers see: https://book.kubebuilder.io/reference/markers/crd-validation.html

Rook is now capable of configuring mirroring between sites. The
implementation works at different levels:
* CephBlockPool: which introduces a new `mirroring` configuration as well
as `statusCheck`. When turned on, Rook will enable mirroring on the
pool. It will also create a bootstrap peer token and store it in a
Kubernetes Secret. The name of that Secret can be found in the Status
field of the CephBlockPool CRD. This token can be fetched and used by
other clusters to configure the site as a peer. Mirroring can be
configured either at the pool or the image level.
* CephRBDMirror: which introduces a new `peers` configuration allowing
Rook to connect to peers by passing a Secret name. The administrator will
create a Kubernetes Secret with 2 keys: 'token' for the bootstrap peer
token and 'pool' for the name of pool. Once detected the rbd-mirror
controller will go ahead and import the peer configuration.
Pool mirroring status example:
```
info:
To provide more context for executing commands in a ceph cluster,
the full clusterInfo is now passed to the ceph execution commands.
All information about the cluster will now be available throughout
all the areas of the operator. The namespace, ceph credentials,
mon endpoints, and other info is a core part of that cluster info.
Arguments passed through the controllers are also simplified for
mons, mgr, osds, and other daemons where the parameters had
become too complex.
Previously, the rbd-mirror daemon was integrated into the `CephCluster`
CRD. This wasn't really practical since we would have to wait for the
whole orchestration to be done to actually set it up. The same goes for
any CR update. Let's say you want to change the number of daemons, Rook
would go through mons, mgrs and osds until it get to rbd-mirror.
This triggers an undesired full orchestration.
With its own CRD this component just gains a lot more flexibility.
We now always perform ok-to-stop change when the deployment is going to
be updated. This could be for various reasons like change in the spec or
a new Ceph image.
In any case, if Ceph resources are going to be restarted this must be
done carefully.
Also trimmed the isUpgrade variable, the upcoming commit will remove the
need of that variable.
Keeping isUpgrade from the controller code since we need it to detect
whether an orchestration upgrade should be triggered or not (based on
the ceph cluster status).
Also, we keep it on the child controllers so we don't go into an
orchestration phase if the cluster image hasn't changed. The child does
not need to be updated/go into its orchestration phase because the
cluster CR changed.
A new controller to bootstrap ceph-crash pod on Ceph nodes running Ceph
pods only.
This implementation is unfortunately a mix of 'hacks' to make the daemon
working correclty. The ceph-crash script faced different issues:
* it's not a daemon
* it does not have any key in cephx
* it runs ceph commands under the hood which need an admin key and a
ceph.conf
On upstream Ceph, ceph-crash needs to grow better, once that happens we
will improve our implementation.
This also enhances osd provisionConfig struct with DataPathMap
Pod volumes and volume mount needs DataPathMap to perform the right
actions on log and crash dir. Exposing DataPathMap makes that possible.
Obviously, this is exposing ceph crash reports on the host as
well as pushing them into the mgr.
Basically, if a daemon fails, it'll put its core dump into
/var/lib/ceph/crash, bindmounting this dir on the host, ensures that the
crashes don't get lost when the pod dies.
Example:
```

On rare occasion, the ceph checks might not be 100% correct and the user
might decide to force an upgrade anyway.
Correctly, if we are in an upgrade, we perform `ok-to-stop` check for
each daemon, if one of them fails, we retry and eventually fail.
They are corner-cases where users would like to force the upgrade anyway.
Enhance the new CR property: "skipUpgradeChecks: true".

an actual upgrade. So if the Ceph image changed and a new version is
desired Rook will go through all the daemons and update them one by one
and perform checks in between.

It's quite convinient to expose /var/log/ceph so that we can decide to
activate logs locally on the machine and see what's going on.
This is only a placeholder when a daemon is stuck crashlooping and we
want to allow administrator to gather log files.
We still do not log on file but this can be activated via a config
option passed to the centralized config option store.
For some daemons, which typically do not store any data (rgw, rbd-mirror
and mds) we had to propagate dataDirHostPath from the cluster spec to
each creation call so that the bindmount can happen.

In the form of mon, mgr, mds, and rgw, convert the rbd-mirror to be
configured completely from the operator. This is a straightforward
conversion with one functional addition: the rbd-mirror daemon stores
*no* data and has no default data dir, so the concept of a `Dataless`
daemon is here introduced.
