In order to use the library in a closed-source combined work (e.g. a commercial embedded product for which you don't want to release the source to your application), you must comply with the LGPL terms and release a linkable.o of your application (sketch) that can be used to relink the application with a modified library.
You may also have to release portions of your source code related to the library, depending on your specific situation, how your application is written, and how you interpret some of the requirements in the LGPL 3.0.
