modbus-connection now maps backend exceptions raised on connect and close to the neutral hierarchy (and ModbusTimeoutError subclasses TimeoutError). Drop the defensive broad `except Exception` in teardown back to `except ModbusError`, and catch `ModbusError` in the connect loop so a connect-time timeout retries instead of escaping.
